I consult to parents of differently abled children. Parents of autistic spectrum, neurotypical, gifted, traumatized, and/or learning and language challenged children benefit from this consultation. I collaborate with parents, faculty, staff and peers to increase interactions that help children to develop healthy ways to connect with others, to regulate their feelings and behavior, and to learn. I use demonstrated findings from neuroscience, attachment research and video microanalysis as well as special education best practices in my consultation. As a result, parents become more able to understand what their children need in order to grow their strengths and negotiate their challenges. They become more skilled providing for these needs.
